About Me

ABOUT ME

My name is Annie. I have worked with animals my whole life and have a degree in animal psychology. I am a certified canine first aider and am currently studying to become a certified dog trainer.

Dogs are my passion and if I had the space I think I'd have 20 of my own! I decided to start Paws in mind, walking and looking after peoples dog. I absolutely love what I do and take pride in providing the best care possible for each and every dog. Dogs are their own person, each with their own personality and unique needs which is why no two walks look the same, they are tailored to each dogs individual needs.

Please take a look at my services and see if I can help you and your dog. Do not hesitate to get in contact if you have any queries!

WHY ME?

Having grown up with dogs and now owning my own, I know how difficult it can be leaving them with someone else. Especially someone you don't know. My aim is to create a special bond with your dog so that they are genuinely happy and excited to be with me. I always do a free initial visit to meet you and your dog, to get to know you both and to discuss your canines needs. â€‹

Dog walking is my business but I am not a business. I like to walk but love walking with dogs, and so try to do 5k in the hour unless instructed otherwise. I also believe that it is nearly impossible to focus on a dog and their needs if you have too many at once. This is why I largely do 121 walks and cap my group walks at a maximum of 4 (usually the forth being my own dog, Maggie). My mission is to create a fun environment for every dog I walk and I want to be able to give them the focus and attention they need.

I love training, for me seeing the results of a happier dog and a happier owner is what makes my job worth while. I currently offer 121 training sessions lasting from 30 mins to 2 hours. I deliberately don't set a set time for these sessions as we work toward a goal. The time it takes to achieve these goals changes with each dog and the desired outcome. It is not a one session fixes all. I also offer training walks. These are aimed to help you achieve your training goals even if you can't be present on every walk.

I am fully insured and DBS checked, so if you are looking for someone with a genuine love and passion for dogs then I am your person!
